Dry container or tool thoroughly before using. This mixing formula is a guide. More or less solids can be used depending on your requirements.

Application
Where a firmer adherence of the coating is desired, add up to 5% of sodium silicate (water glass) by weight to the micawash mixture. This coating is also recommended for zinc (Zn) and lead (Pb) melting. It is applied to room temperature ladles. The ladles may be new or used. It can be re-applied to a ladle that has had the coating chipped or worn off. After applying, the ladle is set on the furnace apron or furnace roof to dry for about two hours. The coating may last all week if it is not chipped or damaged. Typically ladles are changed every 24 hours. The used ones should be recoated until the ladle itself is worn through.

Packaging
Plastic pails @ 40 lbs or cardboard drums @ 300 lbs

Specialty Coating R-20

SFP R-20 COATING is an odorless, dry, reddish powder consisting of complex inorganic minerals and refractory oxides.
